'Partners' cancelled by CBS
November 18, 2012 | By: Hector Cruz
CBS announced Friday (Nov. 16) that it has cancelled its first-year comedy "Partners" after airing just six episodes.
The low-rated series will be replaced with comedy repeats, starting with "Two and a Half Men" on Nov. 19. Veteran player "Rules of Engagement" or new comedy "Friend Me" will likely take the slot starting sometime next year.
The sitcom, which starred Michael Urie, David Krumholtz, Sophia Bush
and Brandon Routh, averaged 6.3 million viewers and a 2.3 rating among
adults 18-49, lagging far behind the rest of the network's Monday night
comedy block.
The most recent episode drew a series low of 5.5 million viewers and a 1.8 rating in the adults 18-49 demo.
"Partners" becomes the third straight short-lived series for "Will
& Grace" creators Max Mutchnick and David Kohan following the
cancellations of NBC's "Four Kings" in 2006 and the William
Shatner-starrer "$#*! My Dad Says," which lasted one season on CBS.

"Animal Practice" on NBC and ABC's "666 Park Avenue" and "Last Resort."
