US court suspends California’s ban on therapies to turn gay teenagers straight
by James Park
22 December 2012, 3:33pm
A three-judge panel in the Ninth US Circuit Court of Appeals has
suspended the implementation of a new law banning therapists offering
treatment to young gay people to turn themselves straight.
In
September, campaigners and medical professionals welcomed California
Governor Jerry Brown’s decision sign into law a ban on teenagers from
accessing discredited treatments that seek to reject an LGBT identity.
The law, signed in by Governor Brown, was due to come into effect on 1
January 2013 and make California the first state to outlaw the practice
for people under the age of 18 in America.
At the time, Governor Brown said that gay “conversion therapy” had
“no basis in science or medicine,” and that it would be “relegated to
the dustbin of quackery”.
Last night, the panel of federal judges said that the law could not
go into effect until a full hearing to consider whether it is legal. The
decision comes after an injunction by those who practise this type of
therapy, claiming that it is a violation of the First Ammendment; a
restriction on religious freedom.
Earlier
this month, a judge said that three specific therapists who applied for
an injunction could continue to offer the therapies to young people
next year. At the time he dismissed claims that such therapies can put
young gay people at risk of suicide or depression saying that such
claims are from “questionable and scientifically incomplete studies.”
The law, SB1172 would have seen any licensed California counsellor disciplined if they offered reparative therapy to minors.
“Our clients are thrilled that this law has been blocked,” Mathew
Staver an attorney with Liberty Counsel who represented several families
and therapists who wish to cure young people of being gay. “It was an
overreach by the legislation into the realm of private therapy.”
A spokesperson for the Californian Attorney General said: “California
was correct to outlaw this unsound and harmful practice, and the
attorney general will vigorously defend this law.”
The court has said that both sides have until mid-February to file their written submissions for the case.
Miscellaneous Notes
Probably mainly will write about things related with music, my favourite actors, TV shows and soaps.

Matt Damon: Why I never wanted to deny those gay rumours
by Scott Roberts
1 December 2012, 11:35am
Matt Damon says he never denied rumours of being gay because he didn’t want to insult some of his friends.
The Hollywood actor is currently promoting an upcoming movie where he plays Scott Thorson, the lover of the late American pianist and vocalist Liberace.
Early on in his career speculation surrounded Damon’s relationship with Ben Affleck, with rumours suggesting that the pair were secretly a couple.
“I never denied those rumours because I was offended and didn’t want to offend my friends who were gay – as if being gay were some kind of fucking disease,” Damon told Playboy magazine.
He added: “It put me in a weird position in that sense. The whole thing was just gross.”
Damon and Affleck grew up together and found stardom in 1997 with their Oscar-winning film Good Will Hunting.
The actor also commented on the changing attitudes towards gay stars in the entertainment industry.
“But look, there have been great signs of progress – the fact that Anderson Cooper and Ellen DeGeneres can come out so beautifully and powerfully, and it’s a big fucking deal that it turns out nobody gives a shit.”

US Marine Corps captain Matthew Phelps proposes to partner at the White House
'Thanks to Barack Obama and Michelle Obama for lending us your home for the occasion!'
17 December 2012 | By Greg Hernandez
It's only been less than 14 months since the US military's anti-gay Don't Ask, Don't Tell policy officially ended.
But a symbol of how fast things have changed came over the weekend at The White House when US Marine Corps Captain Matthew Phelps proposed to his partner Ben Schock.
'Such a special night surrounded by wonderful people in an amazing place, and the best is still yet to come,' Phelps wrote on his Facebook page Monday (17 December) after photos of the proposal went viral. 'Thanks for all the wonderful greetings and messages, and thanks to Barack Obama and Michelle Obama for lending us your home for the occasion!'
The American Military Partner Association posted a photo of the proposal on its Facebook page which is how it began to circulate.
In a follow-up post Phelps wrote: "Ben and I are blown away by the amazing love and support we have received. Thank you all so much for sharing in our joy and our lives.'
Phelps is no stranger to media coverage but before the end of DADT, he did most of it in secret appearing on radio shows and in magazine articles to discuss the policy only using his first name.
A year ago, Phelps wrote on his blog, A Work in Progress, about what the end of DADT meant to him: 'For me, it was the day I got my dignity back. I wouldn’t have to stand there and listen when confronted with ignorance, I didn’t have to endure another conversation in which I was told that gays didn’t belong in the Marine Corps, that they shouldn’t be allowed to share the same barracks or serve in combat, that they shouldn’t be allowed to marry, or that their parents had failed and that’s how they came to be gay in the first place. I didn’t have to pretend I was single if I wasn’t.'

Fight prejudice, reduce stigma - you can't catch HIV from kissing, hugging, or sharing drinks.
The Centre for HIV & Sexual Health in Sheffield, UK would like to thank: The Leadmill, COW vintage clothing, Anjan Sarkar, MUTE art, Geo Law, xHaStexo, Big Dog Studios, and Future Writers Music, MC HIVHOP and Friends and diva creative.
LYRICS:
Kissing, Hugging, Sharing drinks,
Handshakes, High Fives, Smiles and winks
I wasn't always cool as people see me right here.
I'll take you back into my story, then we'll share us a beer.
I used to straight freak out about getting infected
But I found that my prejudices got me rejected.
I was fearful and paranoid of getting diseases
Scared of getting HIV cause of my ignorant thesis
I thought: Kissing, Hugging, Sharing drinks,
Would give me HIV so I'd just go ape
Cause a ruckus in the place cutting scandalous shapes.
Kissing, Hugging, Sharing drinks,
Everybody would avoid me, 'Yeah that guy's a total douche'.
Handshakes, High Fives, Smiles and winks
I was forever alone because I didn't know the truth!
Kissing, Hugging, Sharing drinks,
I got bounced by the bouncers, but as soon as they clutched me
Handshakes, High Fives, Smiles and winks
I started crying like a baby saying "please don't touch me!!!"
I'd wear latex gloves to shake hands with anybody
Just inside case the HI-Virus tried to get in my body
Like that dude in Aviator filmed by Martin Scorsese
Simple social situations had me acting like crazy
A guy touched me on the shoulder,
Said, 'why you having a sulk?'
But I just turned around and flipped like the incredible hulk.
I wore a surgical mask, cause I was scared of the germs,
But you can't catch it from coughing, though you can catch it from sperm.
Matter fact, yo, if we really getting into it
There's a risk of HIV from any sexual fluid.
But not: Kissing, Hugging, Sharing drinks,
There's a party going on but I'm never invited
Handshakes, High Fives, Smiles and winks
I was behaving like a fool cuz I was so short-sighted
Kissing, Hugging, Sharing drinks,
A hottie would come over, say they're liking my style
Handshakes, High Fives, Smiles and winks
But the thought of being kissed had me running a mile.
My friends said I was silly,
And they said, "You're silly.
You won't get HIV
unless they're bouncin' on your willy.
And even then you just gotta be prepared,
Use a condom everytime and just take good care.
That was a bigger revelation than the first cordless phone
But it was too late and I spent another night alone.
I'd assume things 'bout people with HIV
But we all know assuming makes an ASS of U and of ME.
It took a couple of my buddies to put me in the right,
That discriminatin's hatin', and since I saw the light, I've been
Kissing, Hugging, Sharing drinks,
Handshakes, High Fives, Smiles and winks
It's a reality check with a capital C
You gotta know the facts about HIV
Kissing, Hugging, Sharing drinks,
Handshakes, High Fives, Smiles and winks
If the thought of HIV has you hitting the deck
Holla at me and I'll write you a reality cheque.

Jonathan Groff’s TV Show Cancelled
November 23 at 07:14PM EST by Beth Douglass
Sad news for fans of Jonathan Groff (Jesse St. James). The Glee guest star’s new television show has been cancelled.
All this fall, Jonathan had a regular role on the Starz drama, Boss, which starred Kelsey Grammer as a scheming Chicago mayor suffering from a neurological disease that kept getting worse.
“After much deliberation, we have made the difficult decision to not proceed with Boss,” Starz said in a statement, via Entertainment Weekly. “We remain proud of this award-winning show, its exceptional cast and writers, and are grateful to Kelsey Grammer, Farhad Safinia and our partners at Lionsgate TV.”
The show, which earned Kelsey a Golden Globe but never really managed to excel in ratings or viewers, featured Jonathan as Ian, a calculating and power-hungry staffer working for Kelsey’s Mayor Kane. It was a “very sexual” role, and the sort of scenes Ian took part in would likely make even the new Rachel Berry blush ever-so-slightly.
We’re sad to see any project with Jonathan come to an end, but we can’t say we’re too upset to hear that this schedule just opened up. If Glee ever wanted to bring him back to Season 4 on a more long-term basis — you certainly wouldn’t hear us complain one bit!

Starz fires 'Boss'
by James Hibberd
Starz is canceling Kelsey Grammer’s Boss.
After two seasons on the air, the network has elected to conclude the drama series. Boss was critically well-regarded, though rather grim and low rated. It earned Grammer a Golden Globe for his portrayal of a vindictive Chicago Mayor who was increasingly impaired by a neurological disease.
“After much deliberation, we have made the difficult decision to not proceed with Boss,” the network said in a statement. “We remain proud of this award-winning show, its exceptional cast and writers, and are grateful to Kelsey Grammer, Farhad Safinia and our partners at Lionsgate TV.”
The first season averaged only 643,000 viewers for premiere episodes. The second season, which Starz ordered before the first season debuted, averaged 579,000. The move comes as Starz makes room for an unprecedented four original dramas on the air next year: Da Vinci’s Demons (first trailer here), the final season of Spartacus: War of the Damned, the second season of Magic City and new series The White Queen. The network also has pirate drama Black Sails coming in 2014.

'Partners' cancelled by CBS
November 18, 2012 | By: Hector Cruz
CBS announced Friday (Nov. 16) that it has cancelled its first-year comedy "Partners" after airing just six episodes.
The low-rated series will be replaced with comedy repeats, starting with "Two and a Half Men" on Nov. 19. Veteran player "Rules of Engagement" or new comedy "Friend Me" will likely take the slot starting sometime next year.
The sitcom, which starred Michael Urie, David Krumholtz, Sophia Bush and Brandon Routh, averaged 6.3 million viewers and a 2.3 rating among adults 18-49, lagging far behind the rest of the network's Monday night comedy block.
The most recent episode drew a series low of 5.5 million viewers and a 1.8 rating in the adults 18-49 demo.
"Partners" becomes the third straight short-lived series for "Will & Grace" creators Max Mutchnick and David Kohan following the cancellations of NBC's "Four Kings" in 2006 and the William Shatner-starrer "$#*! My Dad Says," which lasted one season on CBS.
Reactions from the cast (via The Futon Critic):
@BrandonJRouth: "Well, that's it folks. Our run of #Partners is over. Thanks so much for your love, support, & dedication 2 our show. Much love from us 2 u."
@SophiaBush: "Sadly, it is so. What a fun run it has been. I love @michaelurie @DaveKrumholtz @BrandonJRouth so much. Our producers. Our crew. Thank u all"
@DaveKrumholtz: "Thanks for all the support."
@michaelurie: "Thanks for the love and support! #Partners will have a special place in my heart, and the best part was how much y'all liked it. #bestfans"
CBS recently cancelled fellow newcomer "Made in Jersey," while giving full-season orders to new dramas "Elementary" and "Vegas."
Other series that have gotten the ax so far this season include "Animal Practice" on NBC and ABC's "666 Park Avenue" and "Last Resort."

"The show will be pulled from the schedule immediately, with comedy repeats airing in the Monday 8:30 PM slot for the time being."The show has struggled mightily from the premiere, so this isn't a huge surprise, but it is a disappointment considering the caliber of the cast and producers. What do you think went wrong? Will you miss it? Maybe they should have followed our advice.

Sex And The City - Willie Garson Bonded With Matt Bomer Over Personal Tragedy
by WENN | 12 November 2012
Sex And The City actor Willie Garson has credited his White Collar co-star Matt Bomer with helping him deal with his mother's death when they were strangers at the start of the series.
Garson reveals he was given some bad news about his mum's health shortly after starting work on the Tv show, and Bomer helped him through the difficult time even though they barely knew each other - and the bonding experience helped them become best friends.
He tells New York Post gossip column Page Six, "When we started the series, I got a call with news that my mother was going to pass away. I didn't know anyone on the set. Matt asked, 'What's wrong?' And I told him my mother was going to die. He hugged me and let me cry. I knew he had my back. That shows on-screen... On this show, we've been to hell and back - now we're best friends."

Andrew Rannell's Ex? Matt Bomer!
10.11.2012
By Jeremy Kinser
'The New Normal' star will get a visit from his 'sexy ex-boyfriend' played by Matt Bomer.
Poor Andrew Rannells. First he has to contend with having Justin Bartha as his live-in fiancé on NBC's sitcom The New Normal and now it's revealed that his character's ex-boyfriend will be portrayed by Matt Bomer.
Showrunner Ryan Murphy tweeted the news that Bomer, who guest starred as Darren Criss's brother on Glee this year, will appear as the "sexy ex-boyfriend" of Rannells's character Bryan. Coincidentally both actors have recently played strippers. Rannells bared almost all in the recent comedy Bachelorette, while Bomer took it all off in the summer smash Magic Mike.
It's not the first gay character for the actor who publicly came out earlier this year. Bomer, who is involved with public relations guru Simon Halls, has twice portrayed plaintiff Jeff Zarillo in Dustin Lance Black's play 8, about California's legal struggle for marriage equality. Also on the horizon is his involvement in Murphy's star-studded film adaptation of The Normal Heart, Larry Kramer's galvanizing play about the early years of the AIDS epidemic in New York.
The New Normal, which focuses on a same-sex couple having their first child through a surrogate mother, was recently picked up for a full season by the network.

Finally they got married, and it's good seeing Hayley again. I think I have to mention that I love Robbie's parents. I miss Deek, but it was very nice that he was mentioned many times.
I can't get full lenght of River City at the moment, I only can get them partially. Thanks to Anthony Langford from YouTube.

The controversial issue continues to dominate the corridors of power in Westminster and Holyrood as Montego Street crimper Robbie and his policeman fiance Will walk down the aisle in Tuesday night's episode.
Gay actor Gary ? who opened his heart to The Scottish Sun about his sexuality earlier this year ? says the plot is a major coup for the BBC Scotland show.
He said: "I do think we need to move with the times, we have to, whether everyone agrees with it or not.
"Times have changed. When you hear these awful religious things, I do think they sound like fossils but that's just my opinion on it. Each to their own.
"In an ideal world there should be no hurdles like this for people. Your outlook changes the older you get, I suppose.
"These things never used to bother me. I used to think it was fine as long as I was happy with what I've got.
"The older you get the more disgruntled with the world you get and the way things are.
"But it is my opinion and I'm not going to force it on anybody. If they can't accept it, I feel sorry for them." But Gary insists he doesn't want to be a spokesman for legalising gay marriage.
He added: "It's a tricky one for me because essentially I'm a public figure now and have been for a few years but it's just my job.
"I don't want to take a flag up and declare that everything I say is right.
"I'm just one person with an opinion. I have to be a role model though but I'm not really comfortable with being a voice.
"It's a scary aspect of the job because some people might take what I say as gospel and that's never a good thing!"
In June, Gary spoke to us about coming out to his family and friends in his late teens, admitting it was a difficult experience.
His revelation came at the start of Robbie and Will's domestic abuse storyline.
The TV star, who grew up in Glasgow's tough Castlemilk district, had been used to speculation about his sexuality because Shieldinch fans regularly grilled him about it.
Gary's been in a relationship with his partner for over a year and says they have "no plans to marry in the immediate future".
But he reckons his own personal situation gives the storyline authenticity.
Gary said: "For us it's brilliant that we get to tackle something like this.
"As a gay man, I get an input into this.
"I know how to pitch things and I'll say if I don't think something's right or if it's too flowery.
"It's protected from stereotypes by that.
"I'm very protective of it and there's a responsibility there to make the subject matter truthful." Robbie and Will's civil ceremony is set to air on Tuesday night's episode of River City.
Gary's co-star Scott Ryan Vickers, who plays DC Will Cooper, revealed he's become the go-to actor for playing gay characters ? despite being straight in real life.
Scott, 35, said: "I'm straight but I've played a gay character in Channel 4's Sirens and I've played another gay character before that, so for some reason it seems I'm the go-to guy for gay characters on the acting scene.
"To be honest, it's not too different acting out a gay scene than it would be with a female actress. Because it's before the watershed, we don't kiss or do anything intimate so it's not a massive difference.
"If you like the person who you're playing the scene with, it makes it that bit easier.
"Gary and I are great friends on set, so there is chemistry there already and that makes my job a lot easier.
"But at the end of the day it's the same as acting with an actress.
"It's not real either way so it really doesn't cross my mind."
Scott's character arrived in Shieldinch just over six months ago and already he's tackled a huge storyline involving domestic abuse. And now he's set to make River City history by being one of the first gay characters to get married.
Scott added: "It's great. I'm absolutely loving it.
"As an actor you want the big story lines so I couldn't be more lucky.
"I've been playing Will for over six months, so it's been a bit of a whirlwind with the domestic violence and now this.
"But I absolutely agree with civil partnerships, otherwise I can imagine it would be quite a difficult character to play.
"It's important in the 21st century that we get that message across that it's more than normal to be gay.
"We definitely need to move on from the taboo." And despite being a newbie on Montego Street, Manchester-born Scott sees himself staying in Glasgow long-term.
Scott said: "It looks like Will is really getting involved and I'm very happy to stay. I'll be here for a while, if not for a long period of time.
"Without giving too much away, Will still has some demons to face as far as the violence goes.
"We definitely haven't seen the last of that story line.
"Not just that but I've really settled into Glasgow now. We film in three month blocks, and after the first block I went down south for a break, but when I came back I really felt like I was welcomed back. I was getting messages from people on Twitter saying how much they liked the character and really lovely things so I'd be happy to stay on for as long as they'll have me."
Meanwhile, Gary has told how his latest dramatic storyline brings an end to an incredible year.
He has already had to say goodbye to co-star and real-life best pal Pamela Byrne.
The pair are so close that Gary even gave her away at her plush New York wedding. Now that Pamela has quit the show, Gary admits that the gay marriage storyline focused his thoughts.
He added: "It too real and horrible to not get right.
"If someone's out there in a similar situation, you want it to strike a chord for them. It's a very current subject.
"We, the cast, are just doing what we're given.
"We need to deal with current issues.
"To be at the forefront of TV drama you can't deal with dated issues. It's about staying relevant."

River City actor Gary Lamont reveals pride at being part of hit soap's first civil union
LAMONT plays hairdresser Robbie Fraser in the BBC Scotland soap and is preparing for the programme's first civil partnership as he ties the not with onscreen boyfriend Will.
WHEN River City actor Gary Lamont came out as gay earlier this year, he didn’t realise he would become a role model.
But the actor, who stars as hairdresser Robbie Fraser in the BBC Scotland soap, won an award in August for inspiring others.
He hopes he will continue to do so as he gets set for River City’s first civil partnership to his onscreen boyfriend Will, played by Scott Ryan Vickers, despite the fact he is violent towards him.
Gary, 28, came out in press interviews in June. He has had positive feedback, particularly being given the Inspiration Award by LGBT Youth Scotland.
He said: “I was given the award by these young people who have the strength and courage to stand up for what they believe in. I don’t know if I would have done so young.
“I have never tried to hide it – I just didn’t feel I wanted to talk about it. As the years go on, I have got a bit more mature and thought, ‘What is my place in the world and should I defend it?’
“It was no great political stroke – they got me on a day when I was like, ‘Yes, I am a gay man’. It’s never going to change so there is no point hiding it. I am who I am and that’s okay.”
Gary, who grew up in Castlemilk, Glasgow, added: “I am being given more responsibility. Scott and I are the face of these issues with regards to River City.
“I was nervous going into it, reading it in the script. We have never tackled a gay wedding. It’s a big thing.”
Indeed, the Scottish Government’s plans to legalise same-sex marriage have proved contentious, with the Catholic Church speaking out against it.
The debate led to gay rights group Stonewall branding Cardinal Keith O’Brien as Bigot Of The Year at an awards ceremony last week, before they were accused of being intolerant for doing so.
While River City is not getting involved in politics, Gary hopes his screen partnership can help positive debate.
He said: “It is putting it in people’s minds. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, just as long as it is open for discussion. Times have changed and we have to change with them.”
He knows people will talk because of the feedback he has already had from fans over the domestic abuse Robbie has suffered at the hands of policeman partner Will.
He said: “Public reaction has been amazing. I get people saying to me, ‘When are you going to hit him back?’ I get old grannies saying, ‘He’s not a nice man’. They love Robbie – it’s lovely.”
The wedding plot thickens in River City this week when Robbie is hounded by Will’s dad to take a pay-off and leave his son.
When he turns to drink to try to escape the pressure, Will is less than impressed and they wonder about calling it off.
But things ease when Robbie’s best pal Hayley – played by Pamela Byrne – returns and announces she is pregnant.
Gary, who has a long-term partner, has no plans to follow his screen alter ego. He said: “I know some 28-year-olds are running down the aisle but I’m in no rush.”

Old clip from YouTube
When I heard Cher Lloyd's "Swagger Jagger" first time, I had a feeling something familiar, then I found that it was "Oh My Darling Clementine". Actually it took for months to find out what it was.
There are a lot of accusations that somebody stole songs from others, for instance Madonna accused that Lady Gaga made "Born this Way" from her "Express Yourself", but I guess this is much closer than that.
Today I found this clip on YouTube. Have a fun.

This Time Round - The Guggenheim Grotto
Finally!
- Afloat
- I Am You I Am I
- You Got Me
- Home
- This Time Round
- Electric Life
- Cherry Red
- For A Cat
- Lay Your Weight
- Hola
- Here Is My Cup
- What Name Should We Call It?
- Strange
- Man on Fire ... and a hidden track
I know it's important the order of songs but I actually felt this importance. When I got 20 songs for voting from them, they were arranged alphabetically. They were just a listed 20 songs for me. Today, the new album has been released, and the order of songs amazes me. It is a magic. I'm really impressed by their works. Also there is a hidden track. It makes me happier.
Unfortunately my choice was a little, well, quite far from this selection though...
Incidentally, my choice of music were Afloat, Cherry Red, For A Cat, Here Is My Cup, Hola, Home, Like A Hammer, Madly Deeply, Nature Boy, Photograph Boys, Strange and What Name Should We Call It?
How doo you think?

News/ Matt Bomer: The Real Reason He Never Played Superman (No, It's Not Because He's Gay!)
by Marc Malkin Tue., Oct. 23, 2012 1:21 PM PDT
If an actor is gay, does it mean he can't play Superman?
Nope!
Just ask White Collar hottie Matt Bomer.
Unfortunately, Jackie Collins recently started a rumor that's spreading across the web that Bomer's sexuality cost him playing the Man of Steel in director Brett Ratner's 2003 project, Superman Flyby.
Matt talks about being out and what brought him to tears
Collins told Gaydar Radio earlier this month that producers gave Bomer the boot when they found out he was gay. "They said, 'No, no, we can't cast you,'" the best-seLling author said. "The reason he didn't get cast was because he was gay."
However, a source tells me Bomer's sexuality had nothing to do with it.
"Matt was Brett's Superman," the source says. "He would never have not cast Matt because he's gay. Brett knew Matt was gay. They're good friends. Matt not being Superman had nothing to do with his sexuality. It was because the director changed."
Matt and his longtime partner honored by GLESN
The project was eventually retooled by director Bryan Singer as Superman Returns with Brandon Routh in the starring role, but it ultimately failed to revitalize the superhero franchise.
Bomer confirmed in a 2010 interview with MTV News he had landed the much-coveted part.
"I actually screen-tested for Superman, and there was a time when Brett Ratner and I were going to work together on it," he said. "That particular incarnation of that franchise sort of fell apart, and then it became a whole different beast."
Dianna Agron, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and more go purple for Spirit Day
His audition included Superman's iconic body-hugging suit. "I was in full tights," Bomer also told MTV. "I was rocking the rights, the Speedo, all of it."
Collins says a "Hollywood exec" told her the story about Bomer "ages ago."
"You can't trust them I guess," the author said in a statement this morning. "I have more faith in Santa Claus now than I do an exec."
Bomer's rep did not comment for this story.

Matt Bomer Bares Bum In Unreleased "Magic Mike" Scene
Posted by Rae Votta on October 16, 2012
We're not sure how the Internet got a hold of these somewhat NSFW outtakes from Magic Mike, but we're glad they did. In a missing scene from the film, Matt Bomer's character (what was his name? Let's just call him Matt Bomer.) performs a Ken Doll inspired strip tease for a lucky bachelorette. We get a peek of the start of this routine in the film, but it’s the, um, ending that's really killer. Yes, that’s right, Bomer Butt. There’s also Bomer Abs and Bomer Bulge. You really can't complain, except for the fact this was left out of the film! We're hoping for a really great directors cut.

Matt Bomer to guest star on NBC's The New Normal
Will play the sexy ex-boyfriend of Andrew Rannells character
11 October 2012 | By Greg Hernandez
Matt Bomer, the hunky star of TV’s White Collar, is set to guest star on NBC’s The New Normal as the ex-boyfriend of the character played by Andrew Rannells.
The show’s creator Ryan Murphy has broken the news on Twitter: 'Guess who’s coming on The New Normal as Bryan’s sexy ex-boyfriend? The one and only Matt Bomer!!!'
In it, Rannells plays one-half of a gay couple (his partner is played by Justin Bartha) who are expecting a child by a surrogate mother with whom they have created an unusual blended family.
Bomer and Murphy worked together on an episode of Glee last season and will also be working together on the feature film version of The Normal Heart.
Both Bomer and Rannells publicly acknowledged being gay for the first time this year. Bomer mentioned it at an awards show in Palm Springs while Rannells did so in an interview.
NBC has ordered a full season of its gay-themed comedy which has managed to succeed despite protests from the anti-gay group One Million Moms and the refusal of a network affiliate in Salt Lake City to even air the show.

The jury is still out on whether or not Matt Bomer would make a good Christian Grey, but it looks like the hunky actor will have his hands full with new projects either way!
It was recently announced that Matt, who has played a sexy stripper in Magic Mike, will soon make a guest appearance on FOX’s new sitcom, The New Normal.
"Guess who's coming on The New Normal as Bryan's sexy ex-boyfriend? The one and only Matt Bomer!!!" Ryan Murphy, the show’s creator, wrote on Twitter.

Matt’s
guest appearance will continue what appears to be a major bromance
between he and Ryan, as the show creator also cast Matt in his upcoming
movie The Normal Heart and as Blaine’s (Darren Criss) brother on Glee. Also of note: since The New Normal's Bryan is basically a fictional version of Ryan Murphy himself, the showrunner sort of just cast Matt to play his fictional ex-boyfriend. We wish all our exes were that attractive.
