Top 50 list of greatest Australian singers of all time - Darren Hayes 28th
[Source]
John Farnham tops the list of Australia's greatest singers of all time
by:Cameron Adams, national music writer | News Limited Network April 02, 2013 12:00AM
28. Darren Hayes
His voice helped propel Savage Garden to the top of the US charts. Twice. "His voice has such engaging textures you believe every word he sings," Delta Goodrem notes. Brian Mannix pointed out Hayes’ "unlimited" range. "I was amazed at how he sang live and then bastard jumps up another octave!"
Anthony Callea is another fan. "His voice is sensitive, honest and draws you in in a very unique way."

Old clip from YouTube
When I heard Cher Lloyd's "Swagger Jagger" first time, I had a feeling something familiar, then I found that it was "Oh My Darling Clementine". Actually it took for months to find out what it was.
There are a lot of accusations that somebody stole songs from others, for instance Madonna accused that Lady Gaga made "Born this Way" from her "Express Yourself", but I guess this is much closer than that.
Today I found this clip on YouTube. Have a fun.

This Time Round - The Guggenheim Grotto
Finally!
- Afloat
- I Am You I Am I
- You Got Me
- Home
- This Time Round
- Electric Life
- Cherry Red
- For A Cat
- Lay Your Weight
- Hola
- Here Is My Cup
- What Name Should We Call It?
- Strange
- Man on Fire ... and a hidden track
I know it's important the order of songs but I actually felt this importance. When I got 20 songs for voting from them, they were arranged alphabetically. They were just a listed 20 songs for me. Today, the new album has been released, and the order of songs amazes me. It is a magic. I'm really impressed by their works. Also there is a hidden track. It makes me happier.
Unfortunately my choice was a little, well, quite far from this selection though...
Incidentally, my choice of music were Afloat, Cherry Red, For A Cat, Here Is My Cup, Hola, Home, Like A Hammer, Madly Deeply, Nature Boy, Photograph Boys, Strange and What Name Should We Call It?
How doo you think?

Mika New Single "Celebrate" [Review]
[Source]
Mika Unveils Video for New Single "Celebrate" featuring Pharrell [Review]
What makes Mika stand out head and shoulders from the rest of the pop pack is his finely-tuned gift for infusing his music with a childlike innocence and genuine joy. It's as if he discovers the world and its beauty for the very first time, and he shares those moments for everyone to enjoy. In other words, he wants "the whole world to celebrate" and spread his cheer around like confetti. That artistic point of view will continue on his forthcoming new album, entitled "The Origin Of Love," that the singer likes to describe as a record "about crazy love songs and tolerance."
After looking at "life in cartoon motion" and singing about "the boy who knew too much," Mika's new album is shaping up to be his most personal to day. Refreshed and rejuvenated, his new music once again relishes in simple joy but appears to hit a lot closer to home for the British singer. His new single "Celebrate" is a perfect example of that. "This single is what happens when you combine a 22 year old you find online, Fryars, with an extra-planetary Nick Littlemore and Pharrell Williams," Mika says about the song in a press release.
Mika adds, "Written by me, Pharrell and Fryars and produced by Nick, this kind of collaboration is only possible when everyone throws themselves into it wanting to have fun and without any ego. This collective and open attitude was at the heart of 'The Origin Of Love.' It was recorded in Miami and London but mostly in Fryars' north London bedroom studio."
In the fun new video for "Celebrate," Mika is shown working his way through a serious case of writer's block in his New York City loft with footage of the singer writing lyrics on sheets of papers trying to find the right words. He stares out of the window and heads into the city to find inspiration to end up on a dancefloor. Matching the happy outburst in the song, right at the 2:36 minute mark, Mika finds a break-through and knows exactly what to write. "Once again, I pull myself together and I remember those two letters, I will be OK," Mika sings, and shares a simple yet powerful truth that can never be repeated too much. (Mika "Celebrate" featuring Pharrell will released on September 30.)

Adam Lambert Claims the Number One Spot on Billboard 200 chart
Wednesday, May 23, 2012 - 11:00am by Matt Kane, Associate Director of Entertainment Media at GLAAD
Pop star Adam Lambert made history this week when he became the first openly gay man to claim the number one spot on the US Billboard 200 chart with his new album TRESPASSING.
Artists like Elton John and Ricky Martin would certainly rank as some of the best selling artists of all-time, but neither managed to crack the number one position after publicly coming out as gay. Lambert himself came out following his appearance on the 8th season of American Idol, where he took runner-up. Despite that second place finish at the time, Lambert quickly amassed a hugely loyal fanbase, which helped propel the sales of his latest release.
TRESPASSING, which was released on RCA Records/19 Recordings on May 15, was executive produced by Lambert and has been met with incredible critical reviews. Rolling Stone declares that Trespassing is “the great pop album everybody was hoping Adam Lambert would make” while New York Daily News exclaims, “it’s the sound of liberation achieved.” People Magazine raves that “Lambert stakes laim for the divos on his glamtastic second set” and USA Today proclaims that it is “the album that fans have been wanting from him.”
In addition to making great music, Adam continues to be a strong voice for equality. He was nominated for Outstanding Music Artist at the 21st Annual GLAAD Media Awards.
Huge congrats to Adam Lambert on his accomplishment! Check out the video for his latest single below

Love Is a Four Letter Word - Jason Mraz
- Freedom Song
- Living In The Moment
- The Woman I Love
- I Won t Give Up
- 5/6
- Everything Is Sound (La La La)
- 93 Million Miles
- Frank D Fixer
- Who s Thinking About You Now?
- In Your Hands
- Be Honest (feat. Inara George)
- The World As I See It
I'm not an expert, but I probably expected from a new album too much. Comparing to last three albums, this is a little weak for me. Still it sounds nice though. They are all Jason Mraz's colour. At the moment, I like "I Won't Give Up" best.
